In 2025, the inaugural D Festival proudly drew its first curtain at the Quanzhou Grand Theatre. Over two unforgettable weeks, more than 200 professional piano lessons, multiple concerts, masterclasses, and the International D Masters Piano Competition (IDPC) brought together outstanding young pianists from many countries and cities. On stage and in the studio, they learned, performed, collaborated and exchanged ideas in an atmosphere that was at once intense, inspiring, and deeply musical.
The heartfelt support from parents, teachers, and participants has not only affirmed our vision, it has given us even greater courage to continue and deepen the educational mission of D Festival. Building on the success and experience of our first edition, D Festival 2026 will move forward with even more energy: rigorous piano training and high-density performance practice remain at the core, while the range of courses, concerts, and stage opportunities will be significantly expanded.
With the formation of D Ensemble and the continuous collaboration with the Quartet Daedalus, this year, we are especially excited to offer participants, in just 12 days, a truly comprehensive and professional journey of musical preparation that they cannot find in any other piano festivals: from the practice room to rehearsal, from rehearsal to the spotlight of the concert stage. Our goal is clear – to help every participant stand not only on a beautiful stage, but also on the true starting line of an international artistic journey. Our foundation
D Festival was founded in 2023 by a group of driven pianists, singers, and string players who wanted one thing: a serious, high-level space where young pianists could push their limits and grow.
Our mission
We exist to pursue uncompromising artistic standards, connect cultures, and give dedicated pianists transformative access to top-tier piano faculty, intensive training, and stages, forging disciplined, joyful musicianship and lifelong global friendships.
