Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College was established in 2003 with the approval of China’s Ministry of Education. It is an independent college jointly founded by Xiamen University and Xiamen Jiageng Education Development Co., Ltd. The college is located on the Zhangzhou campus of Xiamen University, encompassing 2,726 mu (about 182 hectares). Nestled between mountains and the sea, it faces Xiamen University’s Siming Campus across the water. The campus architecture predominantly follows the Tan Kah Kee style, blending Chinese and Western elements in a grand, magnificent manner. Buildings are scattered among lakes and hills, creating a learning environment that allows students to immerse themselves in academic pursuits, explore the vast realm of knowledge, and reflect in tranquility.
